KERR-TAR WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT BOARD EMPLOYMENT & TRAINING ACTIVITIES FOR COMPREHENSIVE ADULT, DISLOCATED WORKER YOUTH, ONE-STOP OPERATOR WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT SERVICES.
The Kerr-Tar Regional Council of Governments Workforce Development Board announces the release of a ‘Request for Proposals’ to provide employment and training services for One-Stop Operator, Adult Dislocated Services and Young adults ages 16-24 with barriers to employment in the areas of Franklin, Granville, Person, Vance, and Warren Counties. Comprehensive services shall be provided under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act for Program Year 2020 (July 1, 2020- June 30, 2021).
An Information Session will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 1, 2019
at Kerr-Tar Regional Council of Governments, 1724 Graham Avenue, Henderson, NC for potential bidders to present questions and
receive additional information. A teleconferencing option is also available during the Information Session (888-636-3807, Access Code is 7668349). Interested parties who have not received a copy of the RFPs should email info@kerrtarcog.org to request RFP copies. Copies are also available at www.kerrtarcog.org.

Urgent Repair 2019
The Kerr-Tar Regional Council of Governments has been awarded $200,000 by the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency (“NCHFA”) under the 2019 cycle of the Urgent Repair Program (“URP19”). This program provides funds to assist very-low and low- income households with special needs in addressing housing conditions which pose imminent threats to their life and/or safety or to provide accessibility modifications and other repairs necessary to prevent displacement of very-low and low- income homeowners with special needs such as frail elderly and persons with disabilities. A total of 20 households are projected to be assisted under URP19.
