Do you have employees whose work performance and attendance is being affected by childcare issues at home? Parents with school aged children are dealing with scheduling issues these days (during COVID pandemic) when remote learning is being conducted with students at home. While parents need to be at work, some can’t because they can’t leave their young children by themselves. CLICK HERE to learn more about a reduced cost program for school aged children being offered by the Henderson Family YMCA. They are offering a Back To School Academy for full-time and hybrid part-time. Please share this flyer with your employees!

Vance County Bridge Closed; Replaced Next Year
N.C. Department of Transportation crews closed a Vance County bridge today due to the deterioration of its superstructure. The Weldons Mill Road bridge over Sandy Creek was built in 1949 and is set to be replaced next year. The department is scheduled to award a contract to replace the bridge in February. Work would begin in March and be completed by the end 2021. Traffic will use New Bethel Church, County Line, Southerland Mill and Vicksboro roads to get around the closure. Drivers should be mindful of crews working in this area and factor the detour into their commutes. For real-time travel information, visit DriveNC.gov or follow NCDOT on social media.
