RFP – KERR-TAR WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT BOARD REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

Project Overview/Scope: The Kerr-Tar Regional Council of Governments Workforce Development Board announces the release of a Request for Proposals to provide employment and training services for Partners for Recovery Opportunities in Workforce Development (PROWD). PROWD is comprised of three Local Area Workforce Development Boards, Capital Area, Durham, and Kerr-Tar. PROWD grant program will collaborate with the regions employers, educators, and community-based organizations united for the purpose of increasing federally incarcerated individuals’ work readiness at the time of release, increasing employment in sustainable wage positions after release and reducing recidivism through the initiative’s three-stage program approach. The PROWD grant received by the three Local Area Workforce Development Boards will provide oversight, financial management, reporting, monitoring and technical assistance to the subrecipient providing services to individuals returning to Chatham, Durham, Franklin, Granville, Johnson, Lee, Orange, Person, Vance, Wake and Warren counties.

Virtual Information Session:A virtual information session will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 3, 2023 via Zoom for potential bidders to present questions and receive additional information. Attending the information session is optional but registration is required. Registration for the information session is available at www.bit.ly/prowdgrant2023.

RFP – PROFESSIONAL SERVICES FOR EMERGENCY SHELTERS AND FACILITIES NEEDS ASSESSMENT

Project Overview/Scope: Kerr-Tar Regional Council of Governments (COG) is requesting proposals from qualified and experienced firms and/or individuals to provide a comprehensive regional emergency shelters and facilities needs assessment for the counties located in the Kerr-Tar region.  Those counties include Franklin, Granville, Person, Vance and Warren.  The assessment will include conducting an inventory and field survey of all facilities used as emergency shelters throughout the region and provide a list of needed upgrades and improvements.
